Can I combine those, as well, to get 1.28 or 1.66 to be 100% sure it covers the weight? Sorry for asking lame questions, I just keep getting an information overdose :)

I don't think I know what Gold Group is :)
Yes stamps with actual prices on them would be better than the 'No Value Indicator' gold '1st' but Royal Mail only sells 87p, £1.28, £1.90 etc. in sheets of 25.
Maybe you could send the photos, letter and self addressed envelope to one of us over here, with appropriate payment, for stamp(s) to be affixed and it forwarded for signature. :Very Happy
Hey, thanks for your offer! I wouldn't want to cause too much trouble, though. I'm actually thinking of ordering a set of Crown Jewels stamps, seems pretty thematic :) In that one there are 1st class, 68, 76 and 1.10, two of each. I'm just afraid that when I receive them, I'll be reluctant to let them go (even though I'm hoping to get them back on my envelope, hehe).
You could order two sets of the Jubillee stamps, keep one unused and use some on that envelope. :nana :nana

Sure, that's tempting, but I've just found out who she is, and I'm afraid she won't be getting any fan mail or phone calls for a couple of years :)

Thanks for your help, I'll consider that :)

Usually you don't get their personal addresses, although there are surely means to do that, too. However, fan mail addresses are public, provided by agencies that represent celebrities.

I actually sent a fan letter this summer (not going to say who the lucky person is, but there is a stamp associated with this person, not of the person)... It felt good writing but I felt kind of empty afterwards. I haven't received a reply (yet).
I received a letter from Russia today, postmarked 5th October from someone just outside Moscow.
I wonder if I still have an Arthur Conan Doyle stamp....

Self-addressed and stamped envelope

Post by cumberbatch »

Hello!
Well, I'm going to send a letter to a person in the UK in the nearest future. The problem is that I don't understand how I should make my SASE. Should I buy stamps and envelopes here, at Royal Mail site, and then send they to a person in my main envelope with letter?
