Tracked item from Spain.

Post by Polwings »

Hi,
I have been sent some important papers from Spain by registered mail. The Spanish postal service website shows it dispatched to UK , but it has never arrived. Poster in Spain has started a claim but I was wondering if this happens often ?
Thanks,
Les.

Usually the tracking would say that we have received it at 'HWDC Langley',it can at times then stop there for a week or so depending on customs.

If there is no tracking info that we have received it then that is unusual.

Give the tracking number a try @ http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

How many days ago was the item sent? If it was only a few days ago then like Postman said it'll probably be stuck in customs

Thanks for the comments so far. The item was posted in Spain 21/8/2012 does not show on Royal Mail tracking but on the Spanish Postal service site shows as follows,
21/8 accepted
23/8 despatched to international destination
28/8 delivery to destination international office.
Nothing after that.
The same people posted similar letter on 31/8/2012 and that was delivered on the 8/9.
Don't think even customs would sit on an item for nearly a month.
Regards,
Les.
