Wheres my package!! Please HELP!

Hi,

I ordered something from Ebay. It was sent from hong kong, china.

The item was sent the 14th of Aug. One day i tracked it with the tracking on ems.com Which is the china tracking.

It said "Your item was received by sorting center(UNITED KINGDOM LANGLEY HWDC) at 2012-08-20 14:26:00"

So I check it every other day to see its whereabouts but it just says its at the sorting center in the united kingdom.

Im in the USA so it shouldn't even take long for something from the UK to get here.

It is now the 2nd of Sept. and it still says its sitting over there with the british.

I WANT my package. Where is it.

What is a sorting center anyway??

it took over a month for a package from china to get to me in the uk so hang on in there they aint the fastest at shipping stuff out think they still use the silk road

Why would a packet be sent to the UK if it was for the US??

I don't know. It was sent from china so maybe it had to pass through the UK before it got the US

Then why does my shipping code tell me its in the UK to begin with. It says its at the sorting center.

Quite common when buying cheap knock-off electronic tat from certain Asian countries is for them to give a single tracking code to multiple people. All the purchasers think it is being tracked to them and ebay thinks they posted it. The fact it came to HWDC makes this highly likely to be the case here - there is no reason on Earth for a parcel from Hong Kong to the US of A to be coming via HWDC, you just got the generic code of the day and one parcel out of probably many has been delivered, in the UK. The rest were either not posted or not posted tracked so they make money on the cheaper postage for non-tracked parcels.

Okay, thanks! Tea and scones! Or however you thank someone in great Britain That makes sense. And does this mean I will still be getting my package? And it only goes through the royal mail thingy in the UK if the package is being delivered to the UK? Like it wouldn't go through the UK if it was going to a diff country?

That is correct, we do not process mail to a country from another country, we only deal with our own domestic mail to a country.

As to if you'll get your package or not who knows, depends on the honesty of the seller. I'd suggest checking out the Hong Kong post site for how long to wait before a missing mail claim can be filed, if it doesn't arrive and that has expired then raise an Item Not Delivered case on ebay.

Wow, then it was defiantly a fake tracking code. I already contacted the seller she was very willing to give me refund. I guess I'll have to re-order and FROM THE USA THIS TIME!

I've ordered stuff from HK and sometimes had to wait around 4 weeks, depends if they have it in stock, but I've only used DX and Focalprice.

i have tracked a parcel from china to langley hwdc it arrived on 2/7/12 and says it was delivered on 4/7/12 the tracking number is rr-----------cn and on the map it shows it was delivered to county durham and signed for by udo wierski, i live in bolton *** *** where is my parcel?

You were in luck here, that you lived in the US and the false tracking number led to the UK - if not, there would be absolutely zero chance that seller would ever refund you.

Count yourself lucky and learn from this - never trust the cheap prices from asian countries. They're a rip off, generally scams and if not they're quite often terrible fakes.
