Royal mail postal charge

I recently ordered an item from the usa coming to the total of $29.99.Anyway, Today it arrived and on the back it had a label saying that the item cant be delivered until the charges are paid (£11.78). However the charges have not been payed, nor have there been any cards posted previously through the door, nor did the postman mention anything and yet it has been delivered. Am I still expected to pay them or have I struck lucky :nana

We get these in our normal packet bags,I guess it's the norm.
I also guess that a lot of the time they get over looked.
I also guess that money is lost because of this.

I guess this is Royal Mail.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I think when the charge is identified, including Royal Mail's £8 fee, a 13 digit code ending GB is used so those not collected could be identified although they are probably never followed up.

We were always told to hand any of these we find in our packet bags over to the RLE although, it should never get into the system but that's a MC issue that I'm sure will be fixed by WCM :wink:
