First the bad news - there is an option in the P&M2007 agreement that allows lapsing for extra leave slots during summer: (Page 6/7)

Efficient Summer staffing – each unit will utilise the opportunity offered by reduced traffic volumes to re-arrange responsibilities during the summer period. This will offer employees additional opportunities for leave during the same period.

The good news - there is a line in the document called - National Agreement - Pay and Modernisation Phase 3 - Transforming the Way we Work

To absorb workload, where time exists, providing quality of service is not adversely affected.

So in essence they can make you lapse during summer to provide more leave slots, but they cant make you work over, or fail to pay overtime if you elect to do so.
