Re: session id
No I don't think it can but I don't work in counters so it may be best to wait till someone from there comes on. They usually start appearing on site from 4 to 6pm.iamme1 wrote:hi can the session id on a receipt tell me or the post office were a parcel was sent? my parcel was sent sencond class and didn't get to the destination and wanted to check were it was posted to many thanks
By the way was it a standard parcel, or was it a recorded or a special, or perhaps another type, that may help.

Re: session id
There was an answer post in PO areas so I have copied and pasted it here: http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... ead#unread" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
PaulPG36 wrote:No it can't! This is merely the internal Horizon sequence number identifying the terminal it was sent from. Even when we input the address details for SDs, RDs and SPs it is not captured apart from on the Proof of Posting line which then appears on the receipt.
How could the addressee details appear in the session number as especially as it will not have been input in this particular case as it was sent by second class mail.
However, I totally sympathise with the sender as one would have the total expectation that their parcel would arrive having sent by Royal Mail.
