What do these AirSure tracking statuses mean?

Post by shipmaster122 »

I sent an AirSure the other day to Belgium, and here are the tracking statuses.
It appears that it is now going to HWDC as would be expected, but just wondered what all of the statuses mentioning shifts mean..

Are they there just to let the customer know that they are still keeping it moving? :cuppa

Date Time Status Track point
21/12/11 15:50 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC AIRSURE DONCASTER MAIL CENTRE
21/12/11 14:31 COLLECTED DONCASTER MAIL CENTRE
21/12/11 11:32 DESPATCHABLE TOEARLY TO LATE SHIFT HANDOVER DONCASTER MAIL CENTRE
21/12/11 09:39 COLLECTED DONCASTER MAIL CENTRE
21/12/11 05:51 DESPATCHABLE TONIGHT TO EARLY SHIFT HANDOVER DONCASTER MAIL CENTRE

Thanks again for your time guys, I know you've got a busy year!

EDIT: Why are there also two "Collected" statuses?

they are not really to let the customer know anything, you are using the track and trace link you got on the other post, its not really really for customers and thats why its not on the main pages of the royal mail website, and to be honest it only really adds confusion for customers as they dont know what is actually happening with these scans, all they show is the item being handed over from one shift to the next at the mail centre before being sent to hwdc, like ive said before, sometimes you can be given too much information
