I've got a family member that has waited over a week for a parcel to come through the mail, just wondered if any of you could help me know if there are any severe delays etc? The company of course wants to wait 15 days before re-sending due to RM's "lost items" policy.
The company is based in Lancashire and have told us that their PPI mail passes through Manchester MC/SO on its way through the network.
Anyone on here work there or know if they are suffering badly? Just wanted to know if it's sitting around in a york or if it should be arriving soon?
I of course understand that delays are impacting the whole network, as we have noticed transit times increasing by a day or two, but never a week.

No major delays on outgoing parcels into the network for the rest of the country, but I can't speak for the out-house. Was it a standard parcel or recorded or Special Delivery?shipmaster122 wrote:I've got a family member that has waited over a week for a parcel to come through the mail, just wondered if any of you could help me know if there are any severe delays etc? I think it was just a standard 1st/2nd. Still hasnt turned up, so I think the company will have to send a replacement..

Yes, of course, but putting replacements into the post at this the busiest of times may well lead to further delays, and more replacements ................shipmaster122 wrote:I think it was just a standard 1st/2nd. Still hasnt turned up, so I think the company will have to send a replacement..

Re: Manchester Mail Centre/Sorting Office delays?
Just to "close the case", the item in question arrived today.
However, I noticed (being a PPI customer), that a folded invoice sheet with PPI printed on it was used to display the address, but the 1st Class PPI was almost covered by the "Documents Enclosed" area on the pouch, and the PPI could barely be seen through the red/black coloured area. I imagine that would delay it, but do any of you guys have that problem?
