That's an ideal scenario if you're management but as an aspiration from a union it's pretty pathetic.
Take the lapsing agreement...do you think when the members accepted the £400 they knew the grief that was coming their way?
If,like you say RM are suddenly in a stronger position after State Aid then why doesn't the union simply push to have the colleagueshare money paid out then or is the real truth that we will have some more poison to accept by then and the union wants to make sure it has some bribes in the bank to sweeten the taste.
This is as much about the union negotiating position as it is about Royal Mail's financial position.
It is certainly not about the membership's position...they are simply an afterthought.
