Hardly a trait exclusive to RM. House prices have been driven to artificially high levels and sustained at high levels despite all reason suggesting that they shouldn't. An economy was built on housing, it is now being propped up by the housing market, and as a consequence, the average age at which people are buying their first house has risen.
