Delays Cambridge City

Post by Idrya »

Hi all!

On May 1st 2011 i placed an order on Overclockers the same day i received an email saying my order has been processed. On May 2 2011 i received another email saying ''Your Order has been packed and is in the process of being shipped'' the same email said that (Standard Post is normally delivered within 1-2 business days following this notification).

I used ''Goods Shipped By: Royal Mail 2nd Class.''

It's Saturday May 7 now and still haven't received my package : (

I also emailed Overclokers yesterday asking if everything is alright with my order.

They told me this yesterday on May 6 2011

''I can confirm that Royal Mail have delays at the moment with their parcels unfortunately, and we have been advised that if the parcel is not with you by 15 days we can action a claim with them.''

I believe this is Overclokers company address.
Millennium Way High
Carr Business Park
Newcastle-under-Lyme
Staffordshire ST5 7UF
United Kingdom

I live in Cambridge City and the package should be delivered to Cambridge from the looks of their address thats some distance to cover. I'm just wondering is this true that Royal Mail is experiencing some delays at the moment?

Any info would be appreciated.

That sounds like bullshit to me,RM would NOT tell a company there is delays even if there was.(Unless of course there was things like severe weather, strikes ect.)
Ovelclockers short staffed? ;liar

Have sent them an email, let's see what they have to say. :cool

I can provide the email they sent me and the name of the person who told me this if you will need it. Lets see what they have to say, this is the first time i used them and probably the last. I will give some more time for the parcel to arrive hopefully tomorrow :pray

TBH they are full of nonsense, how polite of me. If you haven't received your order the onus is on them to prove delivery. One week (although not set in stone) is an acceptable time to give them to get your order to you. Whilst indeed Royal Mail won't allow a claim from them until an item has been missing for 15 days, you do not need to wait this long, your contract is with OC, not RM. And under the distance selling regulations, the onus is on them to deliver your goods within a reasonable time. Read their terms and conditions, or mention DSR to them and watch things happen.

It's 7 days now since they told me ''Your order has been shipped'' how pathetic.... They also say ''Standard Post is normally delivered within 1-2 business days following this notification'' if i would of known it's going to take this long i would of just went and used next day delivery.

I usually use Aria and never had any problems with them even then using standard delivery always delivered within 3 days maximum.

Meeeh still waiting for the parcel -. -

I've received an answer from them, well kind of...
Dear ********,

thanks for the webnote.

If you have an order number or postcode i will be able to track this down and find out whats going on with this.

Regards,

Adrian Austin
They have completly ignored my question which was similiarish to...

You have stated to a friend of mine on 6th May that there are delays within royal mail with their parcel service.
I want to order some stuff and wonder how long the wait is.

I've used a personal email and not my RMC one so they should be non the wiser.

I've replied to that but me is thinking they are bullshitting.

''Due to royal mails terms and conditions with lost parcels, there is nothing we can do until 15 working days have passed from date of collection.''

Just got another reply, nothing to do with what i have asked, they are taking the piss now...
If you order something on 1st class it will take 1-3 days to get to you.
They must have politicians working for them.

Will send them another one,all guns blazing this time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your valued feedback.

Any information that we give to our customers relating to our products or services will come directly from ourselves or from the companies that we deal with. Depending on which Royal mail service you have chosen will determine how long it will take for your parcel to arrive, however as per our contract with Royal Mail we have to allow 15 working days from the date of dispatch before we can action a replacement or a refund on any item.
I give up now. :d'oh!
