When the A4 flat (letter) comes through the flap seems to pivot on its center instead of fully opening? Would not this prevent the whole letter box size being used and create a blockage, sorry iam i missing something. If thats the case a folded newspaper would snap it clean off in one go

The part that pivots slides up when required. If you push through a 1cm item it slides up 1cm, a 4 cm item 4cm etc. i think :)
What you are seeing is the Ecoflap lifting one side and not the other. It can also lift the other side and not the other.
The flap moves like a link in a chain. It rises up parallel, it rises up
slanting at any degree one side or the other.
It depends upon the angle at which a letter or small package or whatever is pushed through.
Ecoflap will operate to suit the delivery, and angle of delivery.
The whole point about Ecoflap is that it does not cause a blockage. It will see your delivery through whatever.
There are more videos on the site. Go to

A folded newspaper is equally easy to post through. We've had the Sunday Times - folded or rolled. What you don't see here is the "widget" on the Ecoflap.
This is a tongue like flap that clicks into the inside of the unit.
http://bit.ly/dVerQ6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Richard has only supplied them for people that MAY have constant thick deliveries pushed through WORKING WITH AN OUTWARD LIFT UP EXTERNAL FLAP.
Richard now supplies all Ecoflaps with one - he doesn't fix them permanently (which a spot of glue will do) so that clients can use or not. It protects the pivoting point against constant ramming and is an Eco flap LIFTER. This same basis is with the new Integral full letter box system.
