 Many of us always worked all paid hours-- in a round a bout way! Some of you believe the management spin about us all finishing hours early every day! In the early days, although finishing early some days, we finished later on others and very rarely claimed O/T for this. that is when there was trust between Managers and workers!
I believe what I see & experience myself, not what I read on here.
Yes people do still get finished well early every day and still moan they are overworked.
Yes a lot of PT get a rough deal, SOME bring it on themselves.
Yes a lot of managers are bullies and threaten staff who have unreasonable workloads and can't manage to complete.
Yes some staff have had it easy for many years and find it hard to adapt.
All these things and more will not change with whinging on here, or staying silent at the workplace, with only what's the union done for us uttered.
What have or can YOU do for yourself & your colleagues..... Anymore ?
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

:Very Happy I still do lots for me, and often when asked, do things for others --like being a witness etc, even though it eats in to my time! what do you do except whinge about the whingers? We all konw some folks have it too easy, but no one else should suffer because of it. And if you do not believe what you read on here, do we believe you, or are you the only honest person around!

Just say the YOU was aimed at everbody in general and not you in particular stokes.
And will leave it there, just opinions.

Just to add,(and it's not aimed at everyone).

If I get one more flippin request by members of "where is my bonus" i will swing for em!!!

Also does Dingo's figures include using a paid meal relief and petrol and motor costs? All our latest pay rises get swallowed up by non tools for the job!

Yes I am prepared to critisise certain elements of the CWU,(and have and will do),but sometimes I must remember that we are the majority workforce and some of us don't half make it difficult for ourselves!!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Funnily enough in America...home of the fast buck and big Capitalism it's a Federal Law that as well as an unpaid 30min meal break you have to have two PAID ten minute breaks...good ole Jimmy Hoffa.
I suppose you could eat your jellied eels in your paid breaks just to piss old NT off. :chuckle

never mind being paid for meal breaks, how many employees have to put up with the way RM treat them daily,Ive worked for RM for 2 years and never in my life have seen the contempt Rm staff are treated with, they seem to make it up as they go along on a daily basis,How you do the job seems to depend on the line manager (changes weekly) there is no direction, Its not difficult we are in the business of delivering , but for some reason the powers to be want to make this hard work, BOTTOM LINE: CUSTOMERS WANT THERE MAIL/PACKETS ,CLEAR OFFICE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AN START AGAIN THE NEXT DAY,NOT ROCKET SCEINCE...... do this govt want jo public to think that RM cant deliver? I think so.
