Royal Mail Customer Services Update

Post by POSTMAN »

Since Christmas we’ve been working hard to recover from what has been a hugely challenging period due to severe weather conditions throughout much of December coupled with high volumes of seasonal mail. Recovery plans are continuing to progress well and normal service has now been restored across the majority of the country. The impact of prolonged bad weather and the pressure it placed on our network at the busiest time of year, coupled with continued large volumes of mail entering our network since the new year, has resulted in some delays to items moving through our pipeline. We're really sorry and are doing everything we can to minimise delays and deliver mail as quickly as possible.

Regional Update
Normal service has now been restored across the majority of the country. Some areas, detailed below, in Scotland, North of England, the Midlands and South East, are working now and over the weekend to clear, they are:

Scotland: Dundee East (DD4-DD5), Dunfermline (KY11-KY12 & KY99) and Edinburgh (EH28, EH47-EH48 & EH52)
North East England: Leeds (LS6, LS7 & LS13), Dewsbury (WF12-WF14), Gateshead (NE8 & NE10), Lincoln (LN1-LN6), Sheffield (S10), Barnsley (S70-S72 & S75) and Sunderland (SR1-SR6 & SR9).
North West England: Crewe (CW1-CW3), Morecombe (LA3 & LA4), Warrington (WA1-WA5 & WA55), Northwich (CW8 & CW9), Chorley (PR6 & PR7), Hyde (SK13, SK14 & SK16), Rochdale (OL11, OL12, OL15 & OL16), Manchester North (M7 & M8), Preston Central (PR0, PR1-PR4 & PR11) and Southport (PR8 & PR9).
Midlands: Stratford upon Avon (CV36 & CV37), Brinklow (MK6, MK7, MK9, MK10, MK15 & MK17), Warwick (CV34-CV35) and Kenilworth (CV8).
London: Southwark (SE1)
South East: Hook (RG7, RG27 & RG29) and Herne Bay (CT6).

Recovery plans are in place and we aim and expect to clear the remaining mail and restore normal service to each of these areas over this weekend. We’re really sorry for any delays customers have experienced during these exceptional circumstances.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Brilliant posting. Tells me what I need to know.
Why can't the management do this?
The RM website pretends next to nothing is wrong. All it does is annoy the customers more.
Thanks for the info.
