It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
"Are we expected to take these out in pouches?
No. All RM Heavyweight items above 1kg will be delivered by vans. In some instances it may be operationally feasible to use High Capacity Trolleys for low volumes"
I just weighed my wife's Studio Catalogue. It only weighs 958g. Isn't that lucky.
So you see, we can take dozens of them.
If you put the wrapper back on + the junk mail back in it weighs exactly 1kg
Going forward thou the next lot of Saga or wat ever BB stuff heavyweight comes in it goes
strait on the bloody scales 1kg or more goes out in a van in my D/O as per
the Agreement......fool me once & that old s**t

There shouldn't be any argument.
You have a week to deliver them.
They can be doorstepped.
They are to be delivered by vans,if you haven't had a delivery methods revision they go over to the drivers...no argument.
We have got them next week, 2.8kg, printed info sheet out and gave to manger, union rep got van so no issue. Pointed out on my duty mainly steps, 5kg health and safety issue. Still wants me to take them out.

Well that means just one of them per bag and spread them out over the week.

No problems, could result in overtime , I know you have many steps, taken your advice made job much easier, just silly when van man finishes early most days and I get paid overtime.

If you want the OT then be happy but I tend now to not worry about what times others finish, worry about yourself and nobody else (everything else is up to management to fix).

Both these points mean nothing, doesn't matter if predominately steps and 5kg limit, you shouldn't be delivering them from a bag period. If dom insists, call your area health and safety rep or email moya, in fact just email moya gets it fixed very quickly :)
Usually in this scenario you're fighting 2 sides, management and wankey drivers, jobs a gooden.
