Reason for returned recorded delivery letter
Hi I recently sent a letter by recorded delivery and it has been returned. The accompanying letter says the reason should be stated however I can only find what looks like RIB or RUB handwritten on the envelope . Can anyone help explain what it stands for/means? Has the addressee refused to accept the letter or are they no longer at the address, or something else? Thanks. Jo

There are a number of reasons it could've been returned the main one being the person not collecting it 7 days after it was attempted to be delivered. Was it returned in its original envelope or a Royal Mail one?
RLB - if there is no return address on the item, where it is opened to see if senders address is inside.
RTS - Return to sender

There "should" be one of these on it...
If not it is most likely,if the details on it are correct that an attempt to deliver it was made but no-one was in and the recipient failed to collect it in the allotted time.
