colleague share scheme- panhtom shares !!!!

I believe that this year, we are able to sell up to 50% of the Colleague Shares that we hold. After the abysmal way RM have handled this Christmas and the Severe Weather, is it likely that there will be any value at all to them? Anyone any idea what they are valued at today.

Thought colleague shares went with 2010 & Beyond.
Two payments to replace them.
£512 June 2011 & £512 June 2012.
Have had a few cheeky ones so brain could be pickled.

No the payments included in 2010 and beyond were for the annual (dividend) that was supposed to have been paid which would have made the full terms of the colleague shares worth around £5K. The actual face value of the shares were based on £1 and then increased in value according to the profitability and value of the business. At one time I know they were in the vicinity of £1.70 per share, but I would have thought that with the disaster that management have come up with this year, then that will probably be nowhere near what we will get paid. But we should be able to sell back 50% in 2011 and then the remainder in 2012.

Your both right they did go into BT2010 and the payments are fixed at 50% in 2011 and 50% in 2012 as part of the agreement.
The value at the time of the agreement was £1024 for full-time but they are/were in the process of being revalued.

Collegues shares is just a big con, don't expect to much. In fact they are that bad you'd probably be better to have shares in RBS or Lloyds.

Will the payments be affected by the amount of shares you have, or the amount of hours on your contract ( as I'm PT, but due to caning docket at the time, I earned a couple more shares than a standard FT got )? What's the odds Billy & Dave arranged everyone, inc new starters, got a "fair" share of the money on a pro rata basis?

You right and wrong at the same time.

Out third allocation of CS had not taken place at the time of the BT2010 talks thus allowing RML to do something different if they so wanted to with the money that would have generated for staff. CWU/RML proposed to the CWU membership that that instead of going ahead with the third allocation of CS there would be lump sums linked to implementation of revisions.

CS allocations 1 & 2 are still there awaiting buy back in 2011 and 2012.

Still unclear Big Daz, if we now tried to sell the shares that were 'replaced' with post revision payouts, will we get what we would have done had there been no revision? And. how secure are our other shares? If they decide this revision is not working, and decide to have another one, would they be likely to snaffle the next lot of 'shares' and link those to another 'You;ll get this money blah blah! Seems like pie in the sky.
