Any from Northern Ireland?
Checking the RM twitter feed it seem to be that no recorded or SD have entered the country all week, I mean the airports are fine, what's happening?

Re: Any from Northern Ireland?
Which airports are fine? Last I heard, lots of flights were grounded and delayed due to the weather? Heathrow only had one terminal working or something like that. I'm afraid I haven't got a TV so I don't see the news that often but that's what I heard last...Dj9928 wrote:Checking the RM twitter feed it seem to be that no recorded or SD have entered the country all week, I mean the airports are fine, what's happening?

Is there a laugh going on here, how many flights do you think there are in the backlog?
The clue is in the word 'backlog'.

Sadly nothing moved overnight either, checking the RM twitter feed tracking numbers seems that most items are out for delivery today, however the NI users all have the same progressing through our network message. I can't really complain as this is the first time it's happened, it's just sods law it's the first time I ordered my sons present online and this happens.

We do have a few NI postie on here - but rather than them giving away their location can they PM and I'll post an update.
Although 1 rumour I had heard was that RM flights had been put at the back of the queues as they wanted to concentrate on getting the passengers through and home for Christmas.
Also according too http://www.ukairportdelays.co.uk/Airport_Disruptions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it looks as though most major airports whilst operating normally are still disrupted because of the back log. Even the 3 in NI have weather warnings.

I'd expected the mail to be of "lesser importance" than passenger planes.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:We do have a few NI postie on here - but rather than them giving away their location can they PM and I'll post an update.

International mail services
International mail is moving in and out of the UK although adverse weather here in the UK and in some parts of Europe may affect some transit times. Further information, including delays to items for the USA following enhanced security restrictions, can be found on our international update pages at: http://www.royalmail.com/internationalupdates" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Specials and recorded have come through today (I got one from Amazon today) so they should have got through but I was talking to the ParcelForce driver and he said that all their flights where cancelled today. TBH I don't know what to think.

I wish my SD that was sent Monday 20/12 from England would have came before Christmas.DGP1 wrote:Specials and recorded have come through today (I got one from Amazon today) so they should have got through but I was talking to the ParcelForce driver and he said that all their flights where cancelled today. 4 days seems a bit much, especially for SD.
Now I just hope it comes next Wednesday! :(
