Hi,
I sent a letter special delivery yesterday, and it is very urgent. I know there have been delays due to the weather, but when I track my letter, all I get is that my package is being progressed through the network, I rang customer services today, who told me that my letter had been sent to the sorting office of the place it was being delivered to, but when the person who is waiting for it went to the sorting office, they told him that it was still in a depot somewhere else, and should be sent tomorrow. I need it to be there by tomorrow. I would just like to know what 'bein progressed through the network' actually means, it gives me no details about the whereabouts of the letter. Thank you.

If it's at the sorting office to go out tomorrow and needs to be there tomorrow, then I'd hope it was going out for delivery tomorrow.Gronya wrote:Hi,

I'm sure they'll try damn hard to deliver it as most offices will aim to be clear of everything before Xmas, ESPECIALLY those types of items!
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

I hope so, the thing that is worrying me is that there is no information on the track and trace, well nothing that tells me anything useful, and that two different workers have said two different things. I just have to hope and pray I suppose.

Specials are scanned every step of the way, it may just be that the system hasn't updated properly. You could always phone the delivery office where it's supposed to be in the morning and double check that they've got it and it's definitely going out?

Well the place it is going to is a small town, so the sorting office is within walking distance, so my friend is going to go and see if it is there tomorrow. I just don't get how different information is on the system, when I first rang customer services, they said that it had been sent from Edinburgh to the sorting office in the town it is being sent too, then when my friend went into the sorting office, they said it was still in Edinburgh and hadn't left to be delivered and should be there tomorrow. It is only worrying because if he doesn't get it tomorrow, then it will be too late by the time the deliveries start again on the 29th.
