That sounds correct to me.zx135 wrote:LoobyLou76 wrote:Now here is an interesting thing.....my parcel has been at my local depot now for 3 days, and every single day the tracking has been changed to say 'we recived your parcel at Livingston DO on 20th, then the next day it said 21st, then 22nd, now today 23rd! So obviously it is being scanned every day at the depot just to update the tracking info (presumably to make the time delay seem less bad than it actually is!). Instead of shifting about parcels and constantly scanning them WHY aren't these being delivered? Starting to lose hope now that this will ever be delivered.

nothing untoward here, its actually just the correct process of scanning, it is scanned out ready for delivery each day, when no delivery attempted scanned "back in" (doesnt mean it actually left the office) and then scanned back out then next morning, thats what ive been doing at my do since the start of the week when the mountain of amazon parcels arrived

Re: Delays at South West Distribution Centre?
Oh dear. I wish I'd read this before ordering my stuff from Superdry - supposedly 48hr delivery service through RM. I now have a parcel stuck at the SWDC - been there 3 days and it's a Christmas present.
The utterly unhelpful (and rude) Customer Service person told me that they couldn't help it because the SWDC is in Scotland! She told me to complain to Amazon - though why when it's from Superdry I can't quite fathom.
Happy Christmas!

Hi all fellow SWDC delayed Amazon parcel friends
Mine has finally arrived. Arrived at the NWDC on 21st, Warrington DC same day and then delv'd via the local DO on the 22nd.
Obviously was just a lost cage(s) in a back-log in the SWDC which once found & processed soon got here.
Hope you all get your lost parcels sooner rather than later and in time for Xmas.

Because it's Amazon's fault we've got such large numbers of parcels to deliver lolbron wrote:Oh dear. I wish I'd read this before ordering my stuff from Superdry - supposedly 48hr delivery service through RM. I now have a parcel stuck at the SWDC - been there 3 days and it's a Christmas present.

Also, RM don't offer a 48 hours service, Parcelforce do?

Unless it's a Special/Tracked then it's impossible to track around the network.timbo Cornwall wrote:My first class item was received at the South West Distribution Centre on the 1st August. this Morning the 2/8/2011, it still is their. Well they could but it would cost them and then obviously you a great deal more,be just as unreliable and the end result would probably be thrown over your fence from a van travelling at high speed.timbo Cornwall wrote: I wish they would find other carriers

Don't you just love it when people register to bitch about something
is it going to kill you to wait one extra day? what have you ordered a kidney or something?
It might be 'sitting' there because its not 1st class. it may be a 3-5 day and its waiting to be released. I've seen Tracked items stacked up in the MC waiting for the delivery date. So unless you've paid for a Special Delivery you will have to have patience or cough up to use a private firm.

Re: Delays at South West Distribution Centre?
Ths is an old xmas 2010 thread and is not relevant anymore.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
