Out For Delivery

Post by nickyrannoch »

Hi Folks

Stupid question alert. What would out for delivery mean ?

Have this update on my package.

22 Dec 2010 06:02:14 AM Dundee Central DO Out for delivery

I assume this means it should have been delivered today.

I had a letter delivery at about 9 this morning but no parcels and no red card to say delivery had been attempted (delivery may have been attempted, was in shower at time).

Is it possible that there will be two deliveries today or seperate parcel and letter deliveries or should I head down the office to see what the story is?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers

It should be with you today. Its probably on a separate van so it won't come with your letters.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Now updated on RM site to say that delivery was attempted but access could not be gained to building. Strange as I got my letters but not impossible if it was on two seprate mail/parcel deliveries as our service button doesn't work and the postie relies on someone letting him in.

Will I be able to collect my mail without my red card as one was not left?

cheers guys

You should beable to collect the item from the Delivery Office with ID, but that probably won't be until tomorrow now as the van will be out for a few hours yet and then undelivered items will have to be processed when they get back. I don't know why you've not received a card, unless they are going to try again later and the postie pressed the wrong button on his PDA.

Thanks for your help mate.

I won't have a card if the postie can't get into the block as it is secure entry and there is no letter box on the front door.

Your regular postie should deliver the card tomorrow.
