hi everyone.
i posted a small package off yesterday at my local post office. the post code i need the item sent to was supposed to be LU31SZ, however the lady at the post office made an error and wrote IU31SZ as i noticed it on the first-class recorded receipt. when i got home i noticed the error and quickly went back to the postoffice, the lady told me that its not a problem it will still get to its destination. is this correct?
i have searched the error post code IU31SZ but there is no such thing of it.
your help will really be appreciated as it will put some stress out my head.
on the actual package i did write down the actual address, its just the lady at the post office bodged something up on the computer

Re: post office error urgent help
It will get there no problems.
As you say IU is not a valid post code but if the rest of the address is OK then human intervation will speed it on its way.
If the post code had been a valid one that may have delayed it slightly, as with the weather, but most people will read the captial I as a lower case L and then route it correctly.

thanks for your reply, the lady at the post office didn't read it as a "L" she read it as a "i" so she wrote down iu21sz.

Yes, it should get to Trent Road, Luton before you've finished the turkey.
