It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Like others we've had the first sunday where there is no work (we all used to come in to sort and prep for the monday) despite the fact that we have a basement full of overdue parcels sat there doing nothing. I had to unlock for a huge afternoon delivery of mail/packets/parcels and get this, man the callers office.
I wondered why not one single member of the public came in for a parcel or five until I checked the seasonal blue p379 cards. Yep, there is nothing to state that the office would be open to the public on the 19th :) Madness I tell you :)
Tomorrow is going to be a phuqer :)
