Well there is an ignorance involved but it is on the part of the membership being in ignorance of the fact that these talks are taking place at all. You know what happens when talks are secret? There is no need to ignore the Government of the day, what you do is set an agenda for talks and inform the people you are supposed to represent what that agenda is - no secrets and no deals within deals.
Considering that the CWU supported Labour in word and indeed financially, they didn't have a hell of a lot of success persuading them to do anything about DSA, retirement, privatisation or the pension.
