As far as i can make out it all depends on how the IWT is used,my office is set at 100 BSI in IWT.clashcityrocker wrote:Or maybe you are missing the point.
Why should one postie deliver 1500 letters/day and the postie next to him deliver 900 and get the same wage? Answer - because you are paid for the hours you work and not what you do in those hours.
D2D took out 16 hours from our office today for prep and delivery. If you want to do them in your own time that means 16hrs more lapsing (4 more walks) or 2 full time jobs gone. Which of those 2 options would you prefer?
Just before they implemented the change in D2D they ran the IWT in our office and suddenly everyone had half an hour
more on the walksort and half an hour less to prep their own frame, when the D2D change came in they gave us back 15 mins at our frames!
My office is in the top ten EP in Scotland and has had hundreds of hours taken out every year so if D2D into workload has made no impact in our office then id like to know what we are doing wrong/right?
All this was agreed by the area rep and opposed by office rep. What i still cant figure out is the BSI issue and what is
the agreed BSI to be set for IWT.The union said 100 BSI was not achievable(miss sorts etc) so how come it now is?
