It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

About 1 in 10 would bother, the others usually said "Oh, I haven't got time for that, put them through the door"

Which suited me just fine :angel

I normally get asked when i come back off a holiday. people coming up and asking me for giro's and s**t. I tell em no, your have to wait till i get round to you. They then come out with, "well the reserve postie gave me it the other day" then i tell them that they should'nt of and im not the reserve postie, and i will not give out mail in the street whether i know you or not.

I have started dealing with customers who ask for their post by asking them what a Royal Mail inspector looks like. They say they don't know, I say neither do I.

I have several gay couples on my round.
I don't hand the mail out in the street to anyone - gay, bi, or transgender.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
