DURING a break at Hindon’s 4th annual Petanque doubles championship a surprise presentation was made to the village’s much loved postman.
The Lamb Inn lawn on Saturday saw a presentation made by parish council chairman John Robinson to Dick Penson of a silver tankard to mark his retirement as village postman after 26 years service.
Mr Penson was playing in the Petanque championship village class.
