Now what I do find strange is that the O/T rate drops after you've done 10 hours.

£9.41 per hour for the first 10 hours.
£8.37 per hour thereafter.

Why would a manager pay any overtime at all when most of your walks are finishing before half ten? Also, two walks finished by 1130? What time did he go out?

Out time 7.00am (supposed to be 7.15) Some out at 6.50!

What manager......our DIM always has a Saturday off! left to Linos etc to mop up the mess caused from the rest of the week

Staff in at 5.30am, make your own mind up.............and work out the hours :whistle 8hrs start at 5.30am finish time............?

Thats quite intresting as your lorries must come in a lot earlier than hours. On a sat we are still on the IPS till about 7.30am and then its a mad rush to get out by 8.20-8.30 am.
We also have a local missort run which gets in about 8.10am and no one can leave before that.

We work a shorter day on a sat not the full 8 hrs but something like 6.30.

Sounds like a lot of changes will be coming your way in the future, good luck with it. :Very Happy
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

about the same as ours
its quite an eye opener seeing the differences in some offices
an early finish in our office would be 30 minutes before finish time
Saturdays are a nightmare and to finish on time is doing well
well apart from me as i dont work over, ever
just today i was in town waiting on a bus.
delivery postie comes down the road with an empty red bag.another postie meets him by the bus stop
one is finished and the other had 3 calls left
this was 12.15
however to their credit, they probably have a stronger office
my office is full of flappers

Most of our town delivery's on a saturday never come back in before 13.00 which is ok but we should finish before that, unless your a firm delivery or you do a rural delivery where they come back 1-2hours before the end of thier duty, they come in earley, dont take breaks do as they please but the town staff are stamped all over to tow the line,we have certain staff just taking 1st class mail that is dated on 2 other delivery's no packets unless it's 1st no recordeds you name it and they pick up O/T booked on till goodness nows when and to cover thier tracks they book anything over the hours on a monday,i really dont believe what goes on sometimes and do the managers say anything no they dont!
