Who should I write to to praise my postman?

Post by Artyzoo »

Hello all,

We have a great postman who always goes that little bit further to make sure we get our parcels and letters. He's friendly, polite and simply a very nice chap. I want to write to the local sorting office (Coventry) and praise him. I don't know his name (we're not that friendly  ) but I want to ensure his line manager or someone of equal importance gets the letter (not just the office team).
Would anyone be able to advise me who I should write to (I have no idea what the heirarchy is within Royal Mail)?

Thank you :Very Happy

If you just write to the Delivery Office Manager (thats the formal title) at the Delivery Office concerned that should be enough.

Or you could write to

Donald Brydon our Top Boss
at

148 Old Street
LONDON
EC1V 9HQ
:Very Happy :Very Happy

BTW include your address as well that will make it easier to track the postie down. But please don't mention anything about leaving packets in Bins, or him signing for items for you as he could be sacked for doing these things.

If your unsure what he is doing is proper you can PM me and I'll advise whether you should mention it.

I think they do - perhaps the ones that like us really are the silent majority. :pray :pray :pray

Thank you, I will write to both and will be very general in my praise to ensure I don't inadvertently land him in trouble :cool

Glad to hear you are getting some more positive feedback from customers.

CV2 2-- is split between Coventry East Delivery Office and Coventry City Delivery Office so it might be best to phone 40 Bishop Street on 0845 795 0950 first to check which your street is covered by :Very Happy and that's assuming my information is correct and up to date. :Very Happy

I haven't been to Cov since I was 10 and my walk is in north London but if you want to mention in your letter that you think I'm doing a great job and am worthy of not only a pay rise but also a few months paid leave, I won't mind.

I wish more customers were like you!
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

Don't bother. Most managers won't pass it on. A complaint however is a different story.
