Hi i was a item i paid for was sent late this afternoon on special delivery, when i put in the tracking info on the royal mail site i get this-
Item ZW%^%%&%&%&%&%&GB was posted at 3 York Street CT10 1PD on 04/05/10 and is being progressed through our network for delivery
whats that mean? i thought special delivery would give me a more detailed info??

all it means is it hasn't hit the system yet do not panic!
it will be scanned in and out of every mail centre it travels through until it hits the destination office
SD items are our flagship product and are treated accordingly, they are kept seperate from other items of mail
most of this will happen during the night and so it will not show yet. Try again later or in the morning and you should be more reassured.

As you only posted it this afternoon, then I wouldn't expect anything different to show until tomorrow or maybe Thursday. As it was posted late afternoon, I may not be delivered until then if you have missed the deadline.

actually this is a good point
check the back of your receipt and check which day it is guaranteed for 5/5 or 6/5
although if you had missed the deadline I would have expected the post office to have informed you of this
