Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me, I have searched the royal mail website but can't find the answer! A parcel was posted to me on sat morning by special delivery, should it be with me today? I understand they are normally next day but wasn't sure if it's different when posted on a saturday?

Depends on whether they caught the post office before the set time. But in theory, as you said morning, then yes it should have arrived today. Best bet is to put the tracking number into royal mail's site and it may give u an idea where it is. Failing that, contact your local delivery office.

I believe as long as it was accepted by 12noon it is guaranteed next day unless stated otherwise at the time and you get a receipt now stating the delivery day, tracking number @ and delivery postcode on it too.
IF it ain't broke it soon will be if RM have their way

Some flights have been suspended but just for the northern Scottish isles (in both directions) because of the ash cloud affecting air space in NI and Eire/ Northern Scotland over the weekend but not sure if that would affect you.
