the union hasn't given a toss about part-timers before, why should they start now?

Re: May 7th Lump sum £400 for part timers?
I'd best get my full £400 - when we got the colleague shares, I was on 30hrs/week contract, but I was doing 4 or 5 SA collections a week at the time, so I actually ended up more shares than a FT doing no OT, so should I expect a bit over the £400 (
), only the £400 (
) or prepare myself to be told "Sorry, but it looks like you're one of the agreement's losers (
me and every other delivery postman)
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

That's only an LTB - the reward section is part of the JOINT agreement which we voted on NOT the LTB.Big Daz wrote:The CS dividends have allways been pro rata,
However 2010 reward section says
YEAR 1
£400 lump sum (previously final ColleagueShares dividend) paid to all employees upon ratification of agreement.
But the LTB 375/10 said The £400 lump sum (previous ColleagueShare dividend / paid pro-rata part time) due upon ratification of the agreement will also be paid on the 7th May 2010.

well if i dont get the 400 quid i will look at what i can do and acas could be the answer, in truth failure to pay this would invalidate the agreement and the trust which we all have for royal mail lol

I can just see it now...
As per Bob Gibson, posties up and down the land will be waving the agreement at their managers, look here they will say,it's not pro rata it's in the fecking agreement.
The screw will then wave the LTB in the posties face, well look here buddy o,the LTB says it's fecking different.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

An LTB is a 'Letter To Branches',it is sent to the branch and then they would/should then send them to reps.tragictramp wrote:how many part timers currently work for royal mail?, ill write a petition out lol, or even better if they decide to choose which parts they abide by - then so should us part timers, ill decide to do no d2d. The reps would/could then put them on notice boards or if it's an important one, have a meeting with the members.

Re: May 7th Lump sum £400 for part timers?
Potentially there are two scenarios here:
1 - Royal Mail admit the mistake and pay up
2 - Royal Mail chose not to pay up and therefore invalidate and do not adhere to the agreement before the first kick of the ball. Trust between the CWU and RM is shot to bits.
ACAS get involved. It won't be pretty............In the end though will still have to RM pay up.
I was never fussed about selling out for money in the first place, but given the fact I could be another £150 better off.....

But the good news for part timers is that they won't be paying as much Income Tax and National I nsurance as us full timers.GHOSTman wrote:sorry to be the bearer of more bad news...remember to take off Tax and national insurance as well...30h contract will probably be left with about £215, WOW..what a bribe that turned out to be...and it's our own money.

Only part that worries me that they may allow them to slither their way out....
Additional Transformation Lump Sums totalling £1000 for employees covered by this agreement (pro rata for part time employees). Annex C gives the detailed trigger points for implementation of the lump sums in each function.
