Absolutely nothing. Remember the union have accepted that there will be winners and losers, a minority of members...Why they just couldn't say "Part Timers in Particular"

the union hasn't given a toss about part-timers before, why should they start now?

I'd best get my full £400 - when we got the colleague shares, I was on 30hrs/week contract, but I was doing 4 or 5 SA collections a week at the time, so I actually ended up more shares than a FT doing no OT, so should I expect a bit over the £400 ( :left: ), only the £400 ( ) or prepare myself to be told "Sorry, but it looks like you're one of the agreement's losers ( :evil/mad :evil/mad me and every other delivery postman)

£400 lump sum (previously final ColleagueShares dividend) paid to all employees upon ratification of agreement.

But the LTB 375/10 said The £400 lump sum (previous ColleagueShare dividend / paid pro-rata part time) due upon ratification of the agreement will also be paid on the 7th May 2010.
Ah! That's only an LTB - the reward section is part of the JOINT agreement which we voted on NOT the LTB.
Agreed, someone's made a cock up somewhere, now if (when) the part timers get it pro rata, which by THE agrement is wrong, what happens next?
Strike! Strike! Strike! :chuckle I know why don't we pass it to ACAS - after all weren't they the ones toing and froing to get the wording acceptable to both parties - C'mon Rog get this wording sorted - or will it be a case of "we didn't mean that", or "well it was obvious" - BUT the words are the words and that's what we voted on.

well if i dont get the 400 quid i will look at what i can do and acas could be the answer, in truth failure to pay this would invalidate the agreement and the trust which we all have for royal mail lol

I can just see it now...
:funneh As per Bob Gibson, posties up and down the land will be waving the agreement at their managers, look here they will say,it's not pro rata it's in the fecking agreement.
The screw will then wave the LTB in the posties face, well look here buddy o,the LTB says it's fecking different. :left:

An LTB is a 'Letter To Branches',it is sent to the branch and then they would/should then send them to reps.
The reps would/could then put them on notice boards or if it's an important one, have a meeting with the members.

Potentially there are two scenarios here:

1 - Royal Mail admit the mistake and pay up

2 - Royal Mail chose not to pay up and therefore invalidate and do not adhere to the agreement before the first kick of the ball. Trust between the CWU and RM is shot to bits.
ACAS get involved. It won't be pretty............In the end though will still have to RM pay up.

I was never fussed about selling out for money in the first place, but given the fact I could be another £150 better off..... :chuckle

But the good news for part timers is that they won't be paying as much Income Tax and National I nsurance as us full timers. :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

Only part that worries me that they may allow them to slither their way out....

Additional Transformation Lump Sums totalling £1000 for employees covered by this agreement (pro rata for part time employees). Annex C gives the detailed trigger points for implementation of the lump sums in each function.

they have no bearing on the upfront pretend bonus, they are for implementing specific things into the office/area in the future!

Applicable to all Delivery Units including SPDO’s.
Lump Sums
The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.
