I get angry most days, usually when people do stupid things or make stupid decisions. This can be at work or at home. On balance, I am a pretty happy person. Today is great: it is a sunny morning in Toronto.

Shouldn't that be "sunny morning in London"....oh right, you work away from home...

I am a big Starbucks fan; and I always choose fairtrade coffee, usually the cappuccino. To unwind, I would opt for a beach holiday. The Moroccan room in our home in Canada is my spiritual retreat. For hobbies, I have to admit that I used to be a morris dancer, but my knees are no longer up to it. I even used to ring the bells at church.

I would like to get locked in a church with Bobby Moore. He was such a great footballer and captain that I would love to talk to him about leadership. The media was not so big when he was famous; so I don’t think he got as much coverage as he deserved.

Whilst an atheist, despite a catholic upbringing - I have respect for peoples religious beliefs and the guidance and support that their respective faiths provide for them and believe that condemnation or ridicule of those beliefs is as much a blow against humanity as racism, sexism or any other type of transgression against particular groups of people.

There, however, my political correctness ends and I would offer the thought that to use a religious association to enhance your standing in business or justify your treatment of others is unacceptable.

Religion is a personal, although not necessarily a private affair and has no place in the workplace nor should it be used as a basis to get at someone (even Allan Leighton) because other means are perhaps not as direct.

I support in every respect our strike and struggle to overcome the failures of our present regime but let's not lose sight of our responsibilities to others and please remember that we are not the bullies here.
