Dingo Quotes

its time to get real , the changes Royal Mail are introducing with or without an agreement are coming, the only question is do you want an agreement which provides safeguards and benefits or do you want nothing and just Royal Mail"s imposition.

1 the changes that are coming (the work plan) need this agreement to go forward
2 where are the safe-guards you talk about
3 where are the benefits
if you stick yo the facts and not give a personal opinion the better people will understand :wave :wave

Using a golf trolley with CDV is not practical on my walk, so i'll still have to use pouches, so still have weight on shoulder.
How much room do these car/vans have? I don't imagine they are big enough to hold 12 - 14 pouches in the back for the two walks.
Just like trolleys at the moment that are supposed to have a maximum weight, what is the max weight in these car/vans, and also the golf trolleys?
The introduction of these car/vans is to ultimately get rid of the drivers duties in the office, but, as with the trolleys being used now people are also having to use pouches as well, so who will make the bag dropoffs as the trolleys aren't supposed to be used as portable bagdrops.

The workplan change will drive the span you have. No one in the country has yet had a walk sequencing revision introduced to the new workplan which includes the changes to the mail centre and of course mean that the machines run on both Sunday into Monday and Friday into saturday night.

At the risk of repeating myself the plan willl mean that approximately 60% of work for all walks will clear a mail centre approximately 11 ish and then can be sequenced during the night and can be ready for your office in the morning.

However 40% which is processed during the night in mail centres will no longer come into your office in the morning to be IPS. Instead this work will be sequenced and each batch of work (approximately 12 walks ) will need 3 passes. The earliest this work can arrive in an office is about 07 30 the latest is 10 in the morning.

Once this second batch is in your office then this will have to prepped into your frame , you will still have to do redirections ,dead etc .

So if your work arrives into your office at 10 in the morning you will not be getting out till after 11 and still have to travel to and from the delivery so delivery spans will not need to be longer if you dont want them to be. Equally if you recieve your second batch before 0900 you will still not be onto long a span .

Look as long as people realise that the days when people chase time and cut every corner to get some time has come to an end then why would you be worried. I have seen loads of people over the years who work at over 100BSi in order to finish early. Well its not going to happen in the future as Royal Mail will keep cutting jobs , keep introducing absorbing etc if you still chase time.

Our officers are meeting on standards etc the week after next and hopefully will move those issues on. Equally we have got the guidelines sorted on car derived vans. Is it not funny that some people oppose CDVs when the reality is that it removes postmen./women loading up their cars with mail bags , carrying bags on the shoulders and rushing around.

Its time to get real , the changes Royal Mail are introducing with or without an agreement are coming, the only question is do you want an agreement which provides safeguards and benefits or do you want nothing and just Royal Mail"s imposition.

Although, there's no doubt that it's terrible that some will have to loose out, to pay for other's financial gain. :arrrghhh :no no
Your posts sums up my Posistion and many others,
I will gain financialy, many of my mates will be worse off ,the increase in work load is very scary in outdoor element, especialy as a Planning Manager tells me it hardly takes any extra time to take D2D to every house than exsisting call rate,Thats whatPegus says ,I beg to differ.

And no matter how you dress this agreement up ,it Mentions D2D Saturday Specials, wich I assume have to be delivered on saturdays.!

Now RM have contract with UK mail to deliver even more Parcels, this is at a time now when most days its 50/50 if you cut off or not,
And if You do cut off their are threats etc waiting from Managers who cannot understand why you cannot do your impossible work load in a short term.

The Health Implications are so scary ,look at the true figures now ,let alone substantial work load increase, forget this crap about trolleys taking wait off shoulders ,wich they do.
But I know if you are constanly pushushing /pulling a heavy trolley up and down hills, and pounding a hard surface dailythe stress this places upon your body.

Forget crap about saving full time jobs, this agreement destroys long term jobs wether full time or P/T What do you have to do to acheive the top 10% and what happens if you are unable to make that grade even with help.

When I see valid answers to my fears I might vote yes ,but till then most people I know ,it will be a big NO vote!

Just wonder if the competition commission will take a look at this!.
I deliver pizza leaflets nearly every week. Dominoes pizza are addicted to DTD
How about 20 or 30 then is it still a good deal or are you just saying it to make it sound ok!.

I dont care how many leaflets i deliver, at that amount I would have very little normal mail and the duties that would need to be put in would give a DOM a heart attack. Its this reason that the RML will look at the all in one envelope structure and most likely will take a gamble on that system. If it dosent pay off and customers dont use RML for their leaflets, then RML have to splash the cash on more duties or forever remain a bit part player in the leaflet market.

Dominoes are the ONLY fast food outlet to use the RM DTD service for my D.O area, the two kebab houses deliver their leaflets themselves. As for the others I have no idea if they deliver themselves or use a RML rival.

Another item of interest is that my local paper had 8 leaflets in it this week, you can see why RML want to increase the DTD we deliver. More leaflets means more money means more job security for the big boys at the top when telling the government how wonderfull they have done at running RM.

with some of the posts from obvious union brainwashed leadership saying "big changes are coming and if we dont accept this deal rm will put it through wtih executive action" what is the point of paying our subs to the cwu that has lined up this crap for its members and by these statments a union that will lie down and let its members take the hit.

in my office only 2 members will gain a small amount the rest said they are voting no because they lose out and if it comes in they will leave the cwu. i myself would of been £24 down last week if this was already in.

if this is a yes vote then the cwu has signed it's own death warrant

for those trying to sell the deal on here get real (your begining to sound like a safestyle uk window salesman)

totally agree, anyone who works in a d.o. actually doing a walk, WILL be worse off, there is no ifs or buts about it. for them to say (well lie) they were going to pull the d2d payments anyway, and that they were losing too much money from them, is a complete load of shite. you can guarantee, if this deal goes through, we will get innundated with d2d week in week out, to think otherwise is being in denial. bob gibson even said himself theres currently a market out there for 14BILLION d2d items, and they,ll get them cos they,ll undercut everyone else. they can afford to by paying us buttons for them. Most people in my office will lose out on d2d's I get 3 every week and deliver to 622 doors, some in my office have 900+, add to that fact that we would have no limits on delivery span or limit on d2d's, and the fact we have no room for trolleys or parking space for vans. Then a longer Saturday for me I do a Wallington walk so the late Saturday on a 6 day week just kills anytime I had to have some sort of weekend with the family, then the fact I need to be home by 3pm twice a week to enable my Wife to go to work she may now need to find another job.

Then to add insult to injury we are told lifting d2d limits will enable us to take work of the likes of T.N.T. and co, next week and not for the first time I am DELIVERING T.N.T. d2d's it is a total joke. :hmmmm :hmmmm

Not myths FACTS.

Once NO
Twice NO
and Thrice NO

That's NO NO NO.
