how about directing some of your hate toward your employer and not a union who is there to support?
My hate is directed equally to two bodies that should be independent of one another, but quite clearly aren't.
1. My employer, the Royal Mail, a company that gives slave-drivers and slave-driving, a bad name.
2. My union, the CWU, who have yet again, made all the money I lost through striking, all the days I got out of my pit at the crack of a Jackdaw's fart to go on, and spend 5 hrs on, a picket line, in rain, in wind, and occasionally, in shine, have yet again, made all that time, effort, and expense, a complete waste of all three. Yet again, I may, depending on how the vote goes, end up worse off than before I went on strike.
No limits on delivery spans, not something I'd ever strike for.
No cap on amount of junk mail I'm expected to deliver during a week, not something I'd ever strike for.
To end up earning even less for delivering unlimited amounts of junk mail, not something I'd ever strike for.
To have the one bright spot of a long, hard, week in this shytehole, a short Saturday, turned into a "normal working day", not something I'd ever strike for.
A deal, which on the whole, just looks like the ill-thought out, ill conceived, 2007 Pay & Modernisation bollox, a charter for more management bullying and harassment, not something I'd ever strike for.
And a whole lot more vagaries contained within the "deal of the century", something I'd never strike for.
And yet, I've possibly ended up with having all of the above foisted on me.
I think I've a right to feel hatred to both arms of the same monster, don't you?
