I'm Glad. because the cockneys would be doing a three day week around Easter...Lazy Bastards...tiggle wrote:it seems that if your day off falls on good friday, you don't get a day in leu anymore, because its not a service day whatever that means and it only affects a minority of people and the management have to consider everyone. as if, of course it's a load of rubbish but it makes a change from hearing the usual claptrap about its protecting full time jobs or its because of declining mail volumes.i would like to know what the union position is on this my rep didn,t know anything about it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: GOOD FRIDAY
I don't know how, but...I've got Tuesday as my Day Off and Friday! ( In Sat, off Sun, off Mon. )
First time for bloody ages, as they always seem to count the Friday as your day off etc.
Don't know whether it's the 2010 attitude, the water or the Voodoo doll I've been sticking pins in, but it's worked!
My Gob has never been so Smacked!

What is it about the Ops side of RM which seems to find the rules and regs (which have been in place for years) so hard to understand?
If a Bank Holiday falls on a rest day/off day, you get it credited. Its the way it's always been.

Re: GOOD FRIDAY
Unbelievable. I've had two Thursday's off in a row, so I look at the rota which was put up today, and surprise surprise they decide to give me my friday off next week. How convenient.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't see it coming.
