If it's invalid to talk from behind a computer why do you log on? It's actually all about the vote were everyone gets a say.

Question is what recommendation will the Glasgow & District Amal Branch now make to their respective Branch members?

I agree, but not everyone is comfortable speaking up in front of a lot of people. I often come out of meetings with people debating with each other, why this, why that, but they hadn't said anything at the meeting. That's why we need decent reps. Someone to talk to one on one, or in a small group. who we can rely on to put our points forward, and ask our questions.

EDIT: Just to add I think the Internet plays a massive part in sharing info and uniting us, along side 'real' debate.

The shite coming from HQ(those with something to lose) has just firmed up my decision. NO NO NO

Yet no full time jobs will be created. Furthermore, there is still the issue of pro rata payment.

Dont undertand why it saves FT jobs. We were doing it in their time anyway.

Oh hang on. Is it cause RM pockets 600 Million quid by not paying us to do them? Yea that might be it...

I am totally gobsmacked  by this only one desenting voice from every rep in the west of scotland WTF This is another vague agreement open to interpretation and a pay cut for the majority of delivery posties with below inflation pay increases all paid for by money we all ready earned through colleague share scheme. How do you sell this to the part timer that will lose 20 pound a week or the full timer who is down 10 pound by saying trust us trust them....NO i don't and yes i will vote NO.

Maybe this shows that rather than sit on here alongside people (99% probably haven't even read the agreement) moaning, units need to set up members meetings.

I heard the applause for the officers today was huge - this isn't because local reps are lunatics, its because they understand and support the logic behind some of the decisions that have been made!

Fair enough, but that doesn't justify the illogical in this agreement.

Odd that the CWU weren't in favour off all these things before, when RM were first proposing them, if they are so logical.

ps. i note the caveat about 'some' of the decisions.

What did your rep have to say today?
