To be honest I'm getting sick of people moaning. If you don't like it, get another job.

By the same token, if you're sick of other workers moaning, why don't you get another job? :wave
I don't get it :Very Happy

I love the job. Always have, always will. Do I think that this is a great deal? No. Do I think we will get anything better? Again, no. I was the same as everyone else, thinking that we were getting screwed, but when you step back and think of what we are paid, and for what we actually do, we don't have it that bad. 20k a year for an unskilled, manual labour job is a decent wage.

We will be working harder, no doubt about it, but let's be honest here, we have had it easy for far too long. The job is moving from a very cushy one, as it has been for years, to just a normal one, where we are going to have to work hard to earn our wages, just as you would in a factory or on a shop floor.

The job is changing. You either accept that or take one of these magical jobs elsewhere, where you expect an easy ride for the same wage we are on now. Good luck with that because trust me, they aren't out there. Be thankful for what you have.

I worked in a factory before here, it was much easier than this.

DO WHAT YOU LIKE BOYS - the CWU will do jack s**t for the next three years :nana :nana :nana
Smart ass'd managers should think back to the last time they tried to implement sh*t duty's without agreement.

1- HQ will do nothing
2- Wildcat strikes in a limited number of offices
2- Local official strikes follow
4- National strikes follow
5- RM try to be bold and say they can stand a strike for as long as it takes
6- After we lose ££'s and RM lose £££££££££££'s then RM come back to table
7- We all get together again, in one big happy family and CWU HQ will take all the credit.
8- We get the deal of the century ( again ) :left:
Trouble is they got the changes in 300 offices last time

Yes the job is changing - doesnt give them reason to shaft people !! Unanimous no vote at our place, probably 98% no 2% yes :left:

Why would ANYONE vote yes to a £30 a week paycut :wave
The way I understand it, D2D was always likely to move into workload anyway, and there were rumours that we would lose payments completely, at one stage. Taking into account the salary raise, the lump-sum payments, the supplement (that of course we will be getting 6-7 times more a year through annual leave, than we do the D2D payments we get now) and the shorter working week, I'm going to be earning more in 3 years than I do now.

You would have to be doing a hell of a lot of D2D's now to see a pay-cut. I've only had 1-2 for the last few weeks!

I've had 3 lots every week ( ex xmas etc etc) for the last 4 years

i will lose my esa and have uncapped d2d

my part time colleague covering me when I am off will receive less than me for doing the same work ( the pro rate supplement) while the f/t in the callers office will be paid full rate for doing none! - you think that is fair?

we have walks with 800+ drops that is one hellavu drop esp for part time

and you do realise we would have got the £400 in june anyway don't you?

this is not new money just like the rest of the bonus it would have been paid under colleagueshare anyway

pay freeze last year so 6.9% over 4 years about 1.7% a year

Fair enough. I didn't realise D2D was currently uncapped in certain offices. I always thought 3 was the limit. You will see a hit then.

Recent regional feedback in general suggests that "the vote" could quite be a yes majority; it will be a close call however
But based on general feedback from DOMS, the majority are in agreement that job security is a priority

There has been no "Recent national feedback" in general or otherwise.

It’s the general feed back in our region, a request was made buy our Regional Director to assess the general feeling people had of the agreement

And I am not saying where as this will give too much away

However I am sure you can wait for the vote results to find out

Perhaps the 'majority' might change their minds when they get their hands on the complete agreement.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

I think you may find the majority of people will see job security as a number one factor after all the CWU and RMG have seen this as a primary concern
