Nice to know he thinks exec act is funny.

to be quite honest postman I do not think its funny however I have worked in london and you seem to have it easy in comparison to other parts of the country :no no

you have brought it upon yourselfs :cry
Easier in what way,and what parts of Lon did you work.
This could turn out to be a long thread.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I've had my concerns about London but now is not the time to highlight differences - we need a united front to defeat this agreement. It doesn't matter what part of the country you work - if you're a delivery officer this deal is a wrong 'un.

:chuckle Given what this charmer has written I'd say it's a fair bet he was one of that fine breed of strike breaking managers . Someone should tell him that you don't usually have six people delivering one walk each day

I'm not from London but that Dispatches programme showed they stand up for themselves, we could all take a leaf out of their book.

They need to force their leaders to stop supporting Dave Ward at any cost, or to replace them so their militancy is properly represented.

It's always amazed me that London postmen get paid more than the rest of us whilst not doing any more work (we all do 40 hours remember), that it always seems to be the London offices that are making demands (4 day weeks etc.) and it's always London offices that get taken apart by the media (panarama etc.)

Let's not forget that this is a nationwide company, a nationwide agreement and will be a nationwide ballot.

Let's hope that we ALL get what's best for us not just the London offices.

C'mon Billy, be fair - the extra they get is London Weighting ( which I never got working for any private sector employer when I lived in London.....although managers in some did  )....imho, fair play to them for getting it, and in as wide an area as they do ( Swanley DO - 12miles from my own, and a few miles from my gaff - get it, even though living costs will be similar )....what is impartant is what you finished on - let's ALL vote on what's BEST for ALL of us.
