The question was "how will they sell the deal" and that I answered.Whether I agree or not is a different matter.spilie wrote:clashcity you clearly enjoyed the meeting and believe it to be the best they could get, also you quite openly say it keeps the CWU in the workplace and that is the main thing for you, well bollocks to you and the CWU i now see that was the agenda all along, they were in danger of losing the cushy numbers they have from local level to national and now want to be the gestapo for RM , well i will be losing money and doing extra work for nothing, so if thats thier best maybe they should have piss*d off, as for calling people on here tossers the old saying "pot calling the kettle black"
I too will be worse off financially but if collectively we are better off then I won't mind that.(Isn't that what a union is about?) That will be for the membership to decide.Don't be surprised if they don't all agree with you.
Did I enjoy the meeting? No.Three hours listening to the Treasurers report, the political officers report etc and a long and fruitless discusson about the death grant followed by points of order is not my idea of a fun Sunday but maybe the people who elected me deserve a report.I think so.
And people who use the anonymity of a chatroom to accuse the leaders of the CWU of corruption (as I read on here yesterday) are IMHO "tossers". If you want to defend the abuse of free speech feel free, but I won't be won over by your arguments.
