No. It's absolutely crystal clear, that under this new agreement, our terms and conditions of work deteriorate even further than they already have.
Time to say, enough is enough. VOTE NO.

the only unambigous benefit is a reduction in the working week,
which of course doesn't help part timers

VOTE NO!

illustrious 3???? three wise monkeys?

yeah...right.....as to your question...absolutely not....RM are getting what they wanted way back in 2007...a workforce that is no longer 40% overpaid and underworked...a workforce that effectively will have no pay increase in 5 years...and that is being modest on the inflation projections....I could easily make a case for a 20% reduction in real terms....a workforce that will be cowed into submission working extra for no pay 'cos they cannot keep up with performance measures the CWU allow RM to inflict on them.... or the alternative, the sack and on their own at an Employment Tribunal if they can face it....it goes on and on.....pensions? Ha! Ha!

there is NOTHING in that agreement that improves terms and conditions this year, last year and for the years ahead....it is a disgrace....it is not the deal of the century promised us...it is a race to the bottom.....

it has to be a NO for those reasons and the thousands of others I could pull out of that bag of waffle flying through the ether...

We have to ask ourselves if the reasons we went on strike last year have been addressed in this agreement.

IMHO i say no...if anything it would seem they have been made wholly worse by the vague and ambiguous language.

That is one of many let downs in this deal.
After 2007 it was made clear NO MORE wooly language that can be interpreted in umpteen different ways by as many different managers.
What did we get....... :cuppa

Some very good points made wranglered, maybe expect your bitter and twisted comments to come your way from some.

How anyone can spin this into members thinking it is a good deal is beyond me, but i sure would like to hear someone try.

My former unshakeable beliefs on union membership has been stretched to the limit and maybe broken by what i have seen & heard this weekend.

The fault lies with CWU HQ in regard to how poor this Agreement is at first showing and not with Dingo, Lovejoy, The Truth et al.

All they have done is place information into the public domain in good faith and tried to put that information in context. I have no doubt in my mind that they feel equally let down, if not more so, as the rest of us!

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't!

If they feel as let down as us they are very welcome to come on and share their feelings with us.
Maybe a bit of solidarity from the top would go a long way.
In my opinion those at the top will have a very different opinion of this deal than we have.
We have to deal with the realities of the agreement whereas they have to deal with the politics of it.
Two very different takes on the same agreement.

now that is interesting....would you share that view if at least one of them turned out to be a key negotiator in this deal of the century?

I think you might not be so keen to use the words "good faith" and "equally let down, if not more so" when referring to the Crucial 3!!!!
