Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
3 months of VIP treatment by royal mail buttered them up so much - they forgot about who they was working for.
Wouldnt surprise me if RM has offered them some kind of payment to stop fighting for us.

That my friend is possibly the most sensible post you have undertaken yet. For that i will let you do my D2D's for free.
Makes you wonder why the CWU agreed to call strikes of over the festive period eh?

And good on you for nearly all in our office on full time are in the union but part time is less than 10% at best for they invariably are the ones who come in work while we lose a days pay fighting for our rights the rights that part time staff not in the union so gladly accept while sticking two fingers up at us as we lose a days pay!.IPS wrote:Still waiting for your stats?k979aaa wrote:Same goes for full time but most of us are in the union for that is the only difference i see!.el_cartero wrote:part timers are bullied underpaid - threatened abused forced on bad walks (that have been made to make FT walks easier) . mentally tortured .
Reps dont care about them.
And now the CWU is having a dig.
I am part time and in the union thankyou

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
Just passed the idea via a lawyer if pro-rata for the d2d, if as i've previously said they will be prepped for ptimers in frame then pro-rata is ok legally. If pt are expected to prep and deliver the same as ft then it is illegal as its workplace discrimination. thats would leave RM & CWU in a sticky mess i think.
IF it ain't broke it soon will be if RM have their way

Sorry if I've missed something within all of these pages, (too depressed to read through it all), but I'm trying to understand what makes anyone think that part-timers would be paid pro-rata for D.2.D.
Most P.T at out D.O do everything bar I.P.S, so why would they receive less D.2.D money as D.2.D aren't part of I.P.S!
Surely prep and delivery of D.2.D is the criteria for payment, not working hours.

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
I am an Office Rep where the Full-time/Part-time ratio is around 80%-20%. The bits and pieces that I have seen in respect to D2Ds on RMC make it difficult for me (or any Office Rep I should imagine) to sell the issue to anyone - be they full-time or part-time!
I have not seen the draft Agreement that was available earlier today, but it is difficult to see how a 'pro rata' payment for the delivery of D2D is viable and justified in respect to part-time staff. In my opinion, unlike pro-rata payments (I have the Christmas bonus in mind) where the link can be made to attendance over a given period of time, D2Ds are a different beast altogether and not comparable.

The bit where it said" pro rata" is what gave it away to meHimaggen wrote:Sorry if I've missed something within all of these pages, (too depressed to read through it all), but I'm trying to understand what makes anyone think that part-timers would be paid pro-rata for D.2.D.

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
That's exactly the reason I asked, surely the idea of the Negotiations etc. is to clarify things like this. I would guess that it was intended to cover those on shift patterns like the '6 days on 6 days off' (24 hour), or those on 4 or 5 hour days (delivery only). Surely the brilliant minds of the CWU who we've trusted to act for us over four months were able to see this and have made provision for it in the full document.BELIAL wrote:The bit where it said" pro rata" is what gave it away to meHimaggen wrote:what makes anyone think that part-timers would be paid pro-rata for D.2.D.

Don't forget the fact that it is a non-pensionable pro-rata supplement.BELIAL wrote:The bit where it said" pro rata" is what gave it away to meHimaggen wrote:Sorry if I've missed something within all of these pages, (too depressed to read through it all), but I'm trying to understand what makes anyone think that part-timers would be paid pro-rata for D.2.D.

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
Get rid of the pro rata and up the payment to £30 without including the shift allowances and the deal would look more reasonable.
