I am sorry to say dingo but the more i hear you say the more i worry about your thinking or motives behind your posts. In the beginning i welcomed your posts and believed you had our interests at heart and did your best to inform us best you could despite sniping from some among us. Now i wonder if you know anything more than the rest of us at all or worse are a plant providing false information. These talks have gone on long enough now with members been kept in the dark and feed little titbits of what might be agreed or not it is time the union said "right is this your final offer"and if the reply is yes then put it to the members in full for a democratic vote.
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

Although I don't always agree with Dingo I full support the above sentiments by Mr Hil. We get some very good information from Dingo and one thing is for sure without him, Lovejoy and The Truth we would be completely in the dark, in this case the more information the better. When the agreement comes out then will be the time to pick it apart.mr hil. wrote:Dingo broke the news that the talks had broken down..you heard it here first because of him

if the talks are back on again.....then i assume no one should be getting this at work time learning over the next few weeks then?dingo wrote:Something major has happened today which has now made an agreement less likely.
Royal Mail have briefed and will be briefing at WTLs sessions in London and possibly elsewhere titled LETS TALK ABOUT DELIVERY INDOOR PRODUCTIVITY . This briefing document explains intially about indivudual performance standards but now want to introduce standards based on these 21 items per inward sorting letters, 15 items per minute for plats and 10 items per minute for packets. In addition 12 items prep per minute all in including clear from IPS frames and clearing down your frame and collect your special deliveries.
This document has caused a ripple effect and has left the union believing that this new brief completely undermines the talks and some of the commitments within the discussions. In fact the union has now signalled the talks have boken down.
Watch this space.
dingo, I for one am happy to wait for the right deal, so long as HQ are prepared to walk away from the wrong deal, especially on performance standards! I'd rather not have an agreement on those, than have my union agreeing unachievable standards.

Wow - what a surprise.
This union has done this that and the other - BUT - it hasn't got a deal in 4 months of negotiating. I dispute what is said on here by those in the know because changes are still taking place - if some weren't so blinkered and read posts from other people they would see that.
Now we get to the nitty gritty - the union have walked away from the table - BUT - lo and behold I smell the old "we have managed to turn defeat into victory by being tough" and we have now got this that and the other so we've really fought your corner.
When you look back and read what has been said on here:

The deal will be ......
There will be a matrix for working fewer Saturdays - you'll have a choice
The plain and simple truth is that we should not have called off the strikes last year - Chamberlain was reborn that day and there has been nothing but appeasement and turning a blind eye since 2007.

I agree with you the strikes were called off Prematureley and according to some posts RM managent are trying to introduce change in some offices.
We can not let this happen until any agreement has been accepted it seems RM managment have their own agenda regardless
