Didn't recieve a sorry your out card
I bought some games off ebay and I didn't recieve them despite 2 weeks passing and apparently its been returned to sender because i didn't collect it from sorting office or so thats what the seller says but Id din't recieve a sorry please collect card soo what on earth is going on? The games costed me a total of 70 quid so you can understand why i'm frustrated. Did the postman just not bother to give me a card?

Re: Didn't recieve a sorry your out card
Packets and parcels are held for 3 weeks (1 week in the case of recordeds) before being returned to the sender, you would be hard pressed to find a callers office that returns things that quickly these days (too many staff out on delivery), so I would look towards the sender who perhaps didn't send them out. Plus if a postie has a packet, it's as easy to just write the card and put it through the door rather than kill off the packet and return it to sender.

Re: Didn't recieve a sorry your out card
It happens quite a lot with buildings with secure access, If the postie or the driver couldn't gain access they often write out the card to be delivered the next day and these can sometimes go missing if there is inadequate communication. In our office items due to be returned are returned pretty promptly. In the old days we used to do a reminder card but what with modernisation......
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

wouldnt be suprised if the sender is lying and just didnt post it or didnt write your address correctly in which case it had to be returned to sender, you would be suprised how many packets and letters we get with the wrong or no number at all put on them.

Re: Didn't recieve a sorry your out card
I can vouch for this, there wasn't a day that went by when I worked in the callers office where someone didn't came in saying "so and so on ebay sent something to me...blah...it's not arrived the seller said to check here blah blah". Most cases customer had never received a p739 because the ebay seller was telling fibs and hadn't sent it, or got the address wrong meaning the packet got sent back.coxie wrote:wouldnt be suprised if the sender is lying and just didnt post it or didnt write your address correctly in which case it had to be returned to sender, you would be suprised how many packets and letters we get with the wrong or no number at all put on them.

Re: Didn't recieve a sorry your out card
But on the flipside as a online retailer myself (not ebay) i've lost count of the amount of times i've had customers phone me up asking where their parcel is and on the royal mail tracking it says that they tried to deliver so left a card but no card has ever been left.
