This FT/PT divide should not exist - for the most part in deliveries it should make no difference whatsoever whether you are full or part time. No delivery should be under 3.5 hours, under the way forward agreement there was a provision for people to be recruited to fill a post BUT ONLY AFTER NORMAL PROCEDURES had been followed, consequently it needed to be advertised internally first.
If the duty in question is a delivery and 3.5 hours and you are currently on a full time contract and doing IPS and Prepping then the spare duty becomes part time whether it be cover or dogsbody and the duty you choose becomes full time.
The hours are what matters and you will not be increasing hours. It strikes me that the ruling on these duties has been "managed" in such a way as to make out that a particular duty is part/full time and that is ONLY by local negotiation (yes I know, stop laughing).
The truth of the matter is the 2007 agreement was like a colander and was forced through, despite the cries from above that we voted for it.
