Now here is a man with a sense of proportion - it is a difficult job, and oddly enough the day the "cage" is "late" strangely coincides with the day there are the most SDs but the lightest day for ordinary mail - of course there is also the problem of reception when they are late. When you work in there you tend to be methodical and security conscious and not give a toss about the flyers.fishtank wrote:It's the one job in the office i woudn't touch with a bargepole.

But average reg is only 50ish for 4 drives,so that my mean something.
Also, any reps in attendance at your place Jenny?

Anyway.... SDs, I prep my walk, take a 20 min break, collect my specials and off i go on delivery around ten oclock, simplze!
Same here up to and above 300 a day, the tracked though are the problem - I don't know about your place but we had 100 tracked by 0700, sorted and PDAs assigned, when lo and behold another 25 arrive out of the blue at 0715 - we have 7 spare PDAs to cover 14 Park and Loop duties - THAT is a problem. I've lost count of the number of run ins I've had with people who seem to think they are a special case and need their stuff NOW because of this or that. I start at 5 and usually have it ready by 8 BUT only because there are two of us and the other bits and bobs like setting out the scanners, changing the video tape, getting the daily tracked advice sheet, wheeling the stuff up to the locker, unloading the yorks etc . Sorting the 9 oclockers and getting people out and back with the excess tracked and then getting them back in time for the PDAs to be used again - oh yes it's an easy job right enough - I may go on til I'm 90.fishtank wrote:POSTMAN wrote:How different offices are,our RLE is a piece of piss, even in the mornings,we start at 6,tracked ready by 6-15,reg ready by 6-30,job done, bit of gas bits and loads of fag breaks.

Average 300-400 reg.
Locker secure? Well I neverdvbuk55 wrote:Well the locker is supposed to be a secure area - so lets say something goes missing, who would be responsible? Believe me when I say not everyone can do it. Tell me when was the last time you did it?jockstrapp wrote:Our PHG is thick as mince so don't know how "not everyone can do it" but to be fair to him he scans in the specials ect. early then when we want then we just go into his office and help ourselves.
