Would the CWU support members who wish to move to monthly pay?dingo wrote:Another red herring and simply untrue. There is no great money saving for Royal Mail from monthly pay now a days and no desire from the union to move to it.
i am a lgv driver, when we went to monthly pay, we had a £80 per week payrise, this was funded by going to monthly pay, because royal mail, was banking the interest while the money was in the bank for the month instead of them paying us weekly, but then that was nearly 3 years ago before the credit crunch when the rates were high, and also we were given a 'loan' of 2000 for a first month and we had to pay it back straight out your wages over 12 months, which works out at about £166 a month. all in all monthly pay aint nothing to worry about, you soon get used to itdingo wrote:Another red herring and simply untrue.
