In your dreams. You've got another 6 years to go.
Not only will you see this 3 year plan out but then you will have to suffer another one.
Me - I'll have to live through 8 more 3 year plans.Might be fun?

No No - at your age you'll not see a penny in pension until you are 75, when you'll put your last letter down on your 75th birthday they'll say - you remember dvb well he's still alive and spending your pension contributions :angel

Oh it won't end with HCTs mb - no there'll be a mobility scooter with one of those extending arms to push the mail through the letter box or a load hailer - like park at the end of the street and holler "Come and get it" - lets hope you don't get killed in the crush of old biddies thinking there's more on offer than the latest 45 D2Ds :whistle

Strange. I had you down as a Specials-era Rude Boy not a Quadrophenia-era mod.

You're going to go in and throw the walks of and be out of the office in 2 hours with this new machinery.
Then you'll be out for the remaining 5 hours 20 mins and even longer some days.
You'll get cramps and suffer from fatigue every day and your feet will ache. You'll get home at 4.30 ish and you'll be absolutely knackered.Bed at 8 if you manage that late.
It will take you 7 hours in the snow and you'll probably pack the job in by this time next year.
But if longer deliverys save jobs

I'd get rid of that target bloody quick, otherwise, if the UK is stuck in Afghanistan for a while, we're all going to hit 65, hand in our pouches, and get given a 6 month all-expenses paid holiday in the Sandpit with an SA80 - cos we're all fitter than marines ( US & Royal ), & we'll have to show 'em a thing or two ( admittedly, Helmand will be quieter than some council estates, with the bonus of shooting back....but it'll be a come down for me in the commuter belt )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

No, but what they have done is brainwashed people into not changing things they disagree with, and into to accepting the indefensible, believing that the staus quo cant be changed and that if you don't like it you should leave. Of course this ignores the irony that if you don't question inequalities they don't stay the same, they get worse. Therefore to my way of thinking if you don't like something you have 3 options.

1. Stay Do nothing and its gets worse for everyone
2. Leave and not only does it get worse for those left, but it has a downwards pressure on the rest of society.
3. Voice your opinion and try to change the status quo. It won't always work but it is the only option if you want to improve matters, or just to keep things as they are.

The argument to leave if you don't like it is the most insidious and poisonousness one in my opinion. People complain that some have better terms and conditions than others, well that's because people questioned the status quo and won. To accept the argument that if the changes are unacceptable, you should leave and let others do the job that want to, only reinforces the pressure to reduce every employees T&Cs by every employer till we all reach minimum wage and minimal entitlements.

Its the politics of envy and jealousy acting in the wrong direction. "They are getting more than me so they should be brought down to my level", rather than "What can I do so I get the same as they do". Some people always want others to make the sacrifice or are just too lazy to make a stand.
