That's why we've got so many shite DIMS because they have to be dismissed and that isn't that easy!

I may be wrong.

No idea of the ins our outs of it , just repeating what my rep said on the phone to me. Thing is one of the two demoted in my office is a decent manager and person , always treats peeps fairly and with respect , a real shame. The other is a late manager I don`t know

My experience with another union was managers being moved sideways . They were replaced by ex graduates , my experience was of being under two ex Teachers , just anal control freaks like something out of a religious cult ; after our previous Manager got a " We no longer have confidence in your Supervisor-al abilities " letter for challenging the Area Manager .

The first blue - eyed boy was thieving stored antique collectors item furniture that could have quite easily been sold to raise revenue - He even had a van sent round , you're talking £2500 - 4000 in his pocket for some items . He should have been doing Porridge with the union rep who'd a gambling problem .

Our old manager was the sort who'd say I'll put you on a charge if you don't go home now on Xmas Eve and then put the overalls on to do your last job ( s ) . We respected that . If you were naughty , you were taken into an Office and shouted at .

Eventually we got " better " Senior Management , a lot of middle managers had to be paid up , I believe our Area Manager had to have his hands prised off the door handle when he was given his marching orders . Reps were saying - " There is a God " .

Question now being if this is the ongoing case and some if not many are being demoted are we then to espect them to leave the CMA and apply or re-apply for membership to the CWU

Hope some managers are demoted at Bristol Mail Centre to. For the first time since Ive been here managers are starting to use high levels of aggression and one turned to violence outside of work. The line has been crossed and its up to the weak mail centre manager to call a stop to it, it must be in his job description. Rogue acting managers back to postman. Rogue managers put in the office on project work/gardening leave, just get them away from the staff weve got a job to do.

Think about it, most of them are failed or useless ex-posties with meglamanic tendancies, so how will they cope having to do a walk or duty as well as bully fellow workers into reaching unattainable and unreasonable targets set by a central manager who stands to make enough money off their backs to fund his next cruise holiday?
Will be nice to see them having to endure the bull that they impose and that we have to put up with daily....ha haha

Before you all get too excited it is very difficult legally to downgrade someone's pay unless their is a specific component they are no longer entitled to.

The upshot of this is that you may be working alongside a former manager but he/she will most likely be earning far more than you. :cuppa

maybe RM are hoping these demoted managers won't stick it out - sweetener or not , my experience with another union is that the bean counters will notice how much they are paid and certain people will be targeted .

I think RM's position will be that these managers can't prove that RM made things "difficult" for them , it was a necessity and may go quietly

But, for the sake of argument, if RM create a specific grade for them ( Team Leader Grade for example ) and plan to pay them 50p/ph more than OPGs, then they will create this new grade, hand out 1000's of blue shirts, and wait a few years giving OPGs pay rises & TLGs sweet FA, until the gap has been closed ( same principle as the end of the PHG )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Again it would be legally "difficult".

It would be the same as RM suddenly creating a Postman Lower Grade and deciding we were all downgraded to national minimum wage.

Any manager "demoted" to OPG would most likely keep their manager grade pay minus any performance related bonuses.

To be honest i don't care if they were to earn(sorry get) more money than me for the same job.
I just want to hear them whine and whinge about how heavy their walks are.
I cant f..king wait. :nana
